We’ve got new Me-lationship shirts and I just couldn’t contain my excitement. The quote “Take care of yourself and be a flower” was written by my Great-Gramma. She wrote it in my high school graduation card and it resonated with me. I always looked back on it when I was trying to maintain my sanity during my freshman year of college and it became a mantra for me. Naturally, I wanted the quote to be a key part of Me-lationship’s foundation.

All of the Me-lationship shirts come from my Aunt/family friend, Akela Johnson-Young. She owns her own store called Little Bit Boujee and she creates custom orders. She’ll customize basically anything that you need customized! Shirts, Cups, Jerseys, Bags—you name it.

I didn’t really have an extensive styling process for this look; I lowkey rushed to get to the destination, so I kinda threw on whatever. When I get a new Me-lationship tee, I always like to challenge myself and vary how I style each shirt. My goal for this look was to highlight the shirt, but I also wanted to embrace color too. I wanted the outfit to compliment the setting and express my individuality. Naturally, I ended up being my usual extra self—I have no regrets.
