THE GIRL NEXT DOOR/HEARTBREAKER
02/15/19
Dresses are my go-to lazy look because they make it seem like you put a lot of effort into an outfit when you didn’t. There was zero effort or planning put into my day look—I just chose something simple, wrinkle-free, and easy to get on. Although I didn’t put a lot of effort into planning my outfit, I looked like a million bucks.
The owner of 77 Clothing, Ricky Carr, gave me this dope karate jacket from his line today; He’s a gifted designer, upcycler, and a Texas Southern student. The jacket went perfectly with my dress, so I had an impromptu photo op. Please support his clothing line!
At night, I went to the ASA date auction and you would’ve thought I was a part of the auction—I looked that good. I’ve been wanting to wear this slip-on dress for the longest time; I was so desperate to wear this dress that I almost wore it to a tailgate, y’all (that’s how you know I don’t go to sporting events often). I’m glad that I decided to wear it for this. My sex appeal is nonexistent, but I tried LOL.
Enjoy these photos of me pretending to be GROWN grown.
SN: My day dress was a hand-me-down and my night dress was thrifted. I am truly a budget queen.
Sincerely,
JANAYA.
