A 90s CATALOG

10/01/18

Well, I said it before and I'll say it again...I love matching sets! They are just so convenient and easy to style; I always make matching sets a searching priority whenever I thrift. I purchased this set at DAV Thrift Store in Houston; it's slightly expensive for a thrift store, but their prices aren't at the level of a vintage/antique store.

I wanted my look to have a late 80's, early 90's feel, so I accessorized my set with the "New New" shades from Twenty103, my glittery leprechaun boots, and some minimal jewelry. After I edited all the photos from the shoot, they all reminded me of old JCPenney's and Macy's catalogs-- hence the title.

On another note, today was my first interview as a reporter; I got to interview J.Prince, the founder of Rap-A-Lot records. Prince is the man responsible for helping rap artists like Slim Thug, Bun B, and Pimp C form their careers; he's known for putting southern rap into the limelight. Yes, I was a little bit nervous, but I can proudly say that I did it! Who can say that their first interview was with someone that is THAT well respected in their industry! It's only up from here, y'all.

With love,

Janaya
