CHERRY BOMB, THE ACTIVIST

10/31/17

This look originally wasn't meant to be a costume until I finished the look. I listed off the outfit details to my mom over the phone and she gave me the idea to label myself as a 70's activist for Halloween, so I just rolled with it; I paired it with a cherry red afro wig and called myself Cherry Bomb.

This look has my heart because it represents everything I stand for: my blackness, my womanhood, myself, and just being carefree. I had a ton of fun shooting this look because I was

completely comfortable in my skin throughout-- you can feel the carefree pushing through the photos.

Halloween night consisted of good vibes; I got to wrap myself up in worship and prayer at an Intervarsity event. Afterwards, I turned up at the Halloween party in the cafe and jigged the night away with my friends. Spooky, saved, and turnt.

With love,

Cherry Bomb.
